Ebatco Co-sponsored and Presented at the Workshop on Surface and Thin Film Characterization
Eden Prairie, Minnesota - Ebatco co-sponsored a two-day workshop on surface and thin film characterization held on December 9-10, 2009 at the University of Minnesota. The organizers of this informative event are the Characterization Facility (CharFac) and Industrial Partnership for Research in Interfacial and Materials Engineering (IPrime) of the University of Minnesota. Other sponsors include Kyowa Interface Science Co. Ltd. of Japan, Agilent Technologies, and J. A. Woollam Co., Inc. More than 70 attendees from both academic and industrial institutions attended the workshop. Dr. Dehua Yang of Ebatco presented "Micro and Dynamic Contact Angle Measurement: Techniques and Applications".

Ebatco and WSI Entered Into Authorized Agency Agreement
Eden Prairie, Minnesota - Ebatco and WSI entered into an authorized agency agreement for the twelve Mid-West States of the USA consisting of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The agreement was signed by Dr. Dehua Yang, the Founder and President of Ebatco and Mr. Richard Wenman, the President of WSI on July 1st, 2009. Dr. Yang said “The agreement between WSI and ourselves was an easy decision for Ebatco to make as the Porometer product line fits well with our existing product range. We expect that our customer’s needs in characterizing nano/micro sized pores will be fulfilled with WSI’s technologically advanced porometers. The customers will enjoy and benefit from the outstanding price, performance and functionality of instruments as well as our satisfaction-guaranteed support. Dr. Yang Presented at the Workshop on Microspectroscopy
Eden Prairie, Minnesota - Dr. Dehua Yang, President of Ebatco, has presented "Spectral Analysis of Microcrystals, Glass Fragments and Gemstones" at the Workshop on Microspectroscopy held at Northwestern University on April 8, 2009. Sponsored by Craic Technologies, hosted by Dr. Jiaxing Huang, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Northwestern University, the workshop were attended by more than 20 Northwestern faculty and staff members, graduate students, and industrial researchers from adjacent companies. Ebatco to Represent CRAIC Technologies in the MidWest Region
Eden Prairie, Minnesota- Ebatco has signed a representation agreement with CRAIC Technologies, Inc. and become its exclusive sales representative agency in the Middle West Region of the United States. Ebatco welcomes this excellent opportunity to assist CRAIC Technologies to bring its best quality microspectrophotometers, UV-visible-NIR microscopes, Raman microspectrometers, and superior support to the customers in the region. Successful Workshop on Super Wetting and Microscale Contact Angle Measurement
Eden Prairie, Minnesota- Together with CharFac and IPRIME, both of the University of Minnesota, and Kyowa Interface Science Co., Ltd., Ebatco has co-organized a successful workshop on Super Wetting and Microscale Contact Angle Measurement on August 22, 2008 at the University of Minnesota. The workshop consisted of a morning presentation session and an afternoon instrument live-demo session. Over 120 professors, scientists, engineers and graduate students from universities and industries in the Twin Cities Metro and out of the State of Minnesota gathered for this exciting event.

Ebatco Attended 2008 ACS National Conference and Exhibition
Eden Prairie, Minnesota- Ebatco, representing Kyowa Interface Science Co., Ltd., attended the 2008 ACS National Conference and Exhibition held in Philadelphia, PA between August 17th and 21st . At the exhibition, Kyowa's Micro Contact Angle Meter Model MCA-3 and Automatic Surface Tensiometer were shown. Exhibition goers were attracted by the unique designs and the technical capabilities of both instruments.

Ebatco Attended the 6th International Symposium on Contact Angle
Savage, Minnesota- Ebatco attended the Sixth International Symposium on Contact Angle, Wettability and Adhesion held at the University of Maine from July 14th to July 17th. Dr. Dehua Yang made a presentation titled "Contact Angle Measurement in Reduced Spatial and Time Domains" at the opening day of this symposium. The presentation was co-authored with Takashi Sekine and Kazumasa Kato, both from Kyowa Interface Science Co., Ltd. Kyowa is one of the principals that Ebatco represents in the entire United States. Kyowa was also one of the sponsors for the symposium. In addition, Ebatco also assisted Kyowa's exhibition of its Drop Master Series Contact Angle Meter at the meeting. Ebatco Exhibited at the ICMCTF Conference and Exhibition in San Diego
Savage, Minnesota- Ebatco exhibited at the International Conference on Metallurgical Coatings and Thin Films held in San Diego, California between April 28th and May 2nd. As a first time exhibitor, Ebatco promoted the booth theme: solutions for mechanical, physical and tribological testing and measurement, which attracted people's attention. Graphically displayed portable and bench-top hardness tester, coating thickness gauge, friction and wear tester stimulated interesting discussions between company staff and exhibit attendees.

Savage, Minnesota - March 5, 2008 - Dr. Dehua Yang, President, Ebatco, has been invited to give a featured presentation on Chinese business etiquettes at the Monthly Breakfast Meeting of the US-China Business Connections (UCBC) Group, on March 5, 2008 at Minneapolis Community and Technical College.
